Finished my porch gun.. Classic Carbine with a cheapy scope. The open sight just wasn't working for my old eyes.... Hope to take it to the range next week..

You may be quite suprised how well those  cheapie scopes can shoot out to 100 yds and more.Nice looking porch gun.

Nice lookin' rifle. I just put a set of those stocks on my 30-30 Handi and I love 'em. I'm lookin' for another set for my 357 mag now. ;D

 Good looking gun. What size is it? I like cheap scopes, depending on what you are mounting it on. I have been lucky enough that I have only had one go bad. Side adjustment went bad for some reason. Still works, just not much adjustment anymore.

4X32 Simmons.. Guy has them on E-Bay with Weaver Rings and  Weaver base for $39:99 plus shipping.. Comes to $50 for everything, screws too... No hammer extension.. I shouldn't need a $500 scope to shoot 45 Colt distances..
