I would have to say Rugers.  I have 4 pairs of the stainless old style Vaqueros, only problem were the transfer bar breaking on two different guns, other than that no problem and accuracy has been very good.  Only work done was an cowboy action job and the replacement of some springs, all told about $125.00 per pistol.

I have a number of fine Ruger single action revolvers. Notably, an early low number OM Super Black Hawk, a specially nice SS Bisley .45 Colt/.45 ACP Convertible, and a 50th Anniversary .44 Magnum. However, there is no doubt in my mind that the Ruger .44 Lipsey Special (5½" barrel) that I waited 54 years for, is my favorite. It is a dandy! The only thing I had to do was had a trigger job done. I really appreciate the fact that the cylinder throats are correctly sized to shoot extremely well with my cast bullets and I am a BIG fan of the alignment pawl. I believe that these are the nicest single actions that Ruger has ever made. Here is mine in Red Dog Leather:

Of course, a good gun requires premium ammo. Here is my choice for general field use - from a Cramer Style Two Cavity Mihec mould for the clone of the H&G #503 Keith with a pentagonal hollow point:

Blackhawk in 45 LC... Hands down

I love my 44 magnum SBH. In fact,I was saying the other day, there are two guns I have had that I have never once had any regrets about or ever thought that maybe something else might have been better. One was my Browning Hi Power and the other is my SBH. (Well,I did see a Ruger SRH in 480 Ruger for 400 right after I bought my SBH and had thought, damn,if I had just waited I could have gotten that and then bought a SBH the next month. That being the case, and with how many peopel say they love their Blackhawks in 45LC,Im seriously considering picking one up.

Well, two years ago it was my 3rd gen Colt, Last year it was my USFA RodeoII, but this year it is my New Vaquero Bisley in .357mag and stainless. I purchased it from Longhunter with his action job and it is sweet. God Bless.

Great shootin irons posted here.  Sorry for the photography, but I do like my Ruger / Clements .475 L.  The grips are desert ironwood.

here's another of my bizzer conversions. The grip frame's still in the white, and the fit on the grips is poor. It's gonna get hard chromed(the grip frame) and before it's over it'll get custom grips made and fitted to the gun....Mike

My vote goes to the Ruger Bisley in .44 Magnum.  I wanted one in the worst way when Ruger introduced them.  I settled for the .357 Magnum version because I couldn't find a .44 back in the day (how we ever get along without the Internet?).  It was a very accurate revolver -easily besting the 6" M-66 Smith and Wesson I toted during the early days of my L.E. career.  I wound up selling that Bisley.

I recently found an N.I.B. .44 Mag Bisley, circa 1985 / early 1986 and couldn't pass it up at $400.00.  It only took a quarter of a century for the right deal to come along, lol.....

Ruger, 50th Anniversary .44 Mag...

For a while I had thought that was going to be my favorite as well. It was quite accurate and comfortable to fire with normal .44 special loads, but I soon found that it rapped my second knuckle very painfully with anything close to magnum level loads. So i guess my favorite is still my 1860, with or without the Kirst gated conversion.

I like the Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Magnum because it's so cheap to own and shoot.

I enjoy all of the single actions I own, and truly don't really have a favorite, but I'm using and enjoying these two .500 WE's a lot lately:

On the other hand, if one thinks that "Favorite" means the same as "Most Cherished", as in the one that I've done the most with, have the most pleasant memories of hunting, competing, plinking, teaching family members to shoot with, then we'd have to be talking about this .22 "Star Model" Single-Six that I've owned since 1974 and which was dressed up a few years ago:

Yeah, me too!  I fixed mine......

Super Blackhawk grip frame, but, I rounded off the trigger guard and also fitted a Bisley hammer.

When discussing Favorites I'll have to include my 'ol .454......

Hi...

Favorite .357Mag

Favorite .41Mag

Favorite .44Mag

Favorite .45Colt

Favorite .44Spl

Of course, that is of today. Tomorrow, depending on how I feel, there may be others that move into the favorite slot.

For instance, there is a gun show in town next weekend...never can tell, might find a new favorite there.
