Model 10 Tatical

Found a Model 10 Tatical in 223 today for 300.00 how did I do?
Any advice on a starting load would be helpful.

If it's new enough to have the accutrigger you got an outstanding deal.  If it doesn't have the accutrigger you got a good deal but may want to start looking into an aftermarket trigger if you want it to really be able to shoot well.

As far as a a load goes, try running the 69gr matchkings over varget and you will be a happy man.

If it is the "three screw tigger" it is very adjustable as well, add to that,  that you can change the .50 spring wire down to a .40 wire which will make it even lighter. This is all a simple thing to do and the wire is a $1 at wally world.

Just finnished putting the .40 wire in both my savage triggers boy what a difference can't wait to go to the range. The tatical is a three screw trigger.

I got to go to the Range Saturday, windy and cold.Had about 6 different loads the best was 55gr VMax over 25.0 gr TAC,found out later three tenths over max according to RamShot. Saw no signs of over pressure.Had 1/2 inch group going untilthe 4th shot.(Happens every time).I am a happy man.
