I too, like the the Cougar, the size and the feel & everything about it. The Stoeger version from Turkey is the same Beretta Cougar design ,and is manufactured with Beretta Factory tooling- as Stoeger Industries are a subsidiary of Beretta.
I also like the Cougar's unique rotating barrel locking system- and note that the polymer Beretta PX-4 which replaced the Beretta Cougar uses the same, but an even "improved" rotating barrel system.
I did own a new .357 Sig, Beretta Cougar that I bought at a great price (because of the caliber) but I found I didn't like the price of the ammunition. So I took a friend up on an opportunity to "trade".
If I come across a Stoeger Cougar and have the $$$ ... I'll buy one.
