well i bought hawkens 50 cal barrel on ebay for 40 bucks the saler told me it had ball stuck in it well i thought ought to be able to get it out found out different tried a jag that would not work tried powder charge under nipple no go then had an old gun smith try to get breech plug off no go . filled barrel with oil for a week then used compressed air no go. finally took an old 1/4 brass rod sharpened it like drill bit and drilled it out.there was an old broken jag rust and crud came out. this is a cougar classic barrel.cleaned the bore real good shoots good but what a head ache.i guess it was worth it.have a great week end.
