A great analysis by Paul Craig Roberts, former Deputy Sec'y of Treasury under Ronald Reagan.  Exposes the lies we've been told for years about the wonderful global economy and the benefits of exporting all our good manufacturing jobs overseas.  We need good analysis like this in order to try to re-build our shattered country.

Paul Roberts is always spot on in my book. He knows how governmnet works in the higher and unseen levels. Anybody touting free trade in all it's incantations, and open borders, is basically against the soveringty of the US of A and is treasonous...that would include most of the US Congress and their Wall St puppet masters...

Agreed! Sure wish there was some way to reverse all this, but it does not look like it could reversed, too much corruption gone on too long.

I respectfully disagree TM7.  The American people, with proper vision and leadership, can reverse anything.   If we could go to the moon, we can reclaim our industrial base.  Create an economy where white people can start families and work at real jobs....American can be re-born.

LGM270....I think you're disagreeing with Jimster actually. But consider that nothing happens of great consequence without great disruption.  There is only one way to explain the course the USA is on considering all the facts....  i.e. to be part of a One World Hegemony with little soveringty at all if any. Its not really a socializm or capitalism thing in the end.

I think the first step to regaining manufacturing jobs back to America is twofold: restructure the tax system to be employer-friendly, and place limits on the powers of unions.   I am not saying unions are bad, despite my personal belief, but unions hold entirely too much power over companies.  The SEIU and UAW are two good examples.

I suggest we all contact our Congressrats and Senators to support a tax system that favors keeeping American jobs in America.  And getting rid of Obamacare would be another step in the right direction.  Containment of cost is the key in this circumstance.
