I have had excellent results with 777 magnum pellets and 250gr Barnes Xpander MZ sabots.  Verry accurate and have used it to take a few whitetails and a large cow moose.

I have been using a 25 acp ignition and two 777 pellets under a 240 grain xtp with good results.

I've been shooting 100gr of bh209 with a 250gr tc superglide with good results. For the limited gain in velocity that you get going up to 120gr, it does'nt really make much sense and the 100s more comfortable to shoot. I just recently tried something new. I bought a box of hornady 250gr ftx bullets, the ones for the 450 bushmaster. Matched them up with a harvester crush rib sabot, and a winchester primer. This combination shoots a very tight group out of my encore, and even works out being a little cheaper bullet wise.

I've been shooting the 250 grain shockwaves and loads from 100 to 110 grains of BP209. My best groups seem to be with 105. All have had CCI 209 primers behind them. Breech plug seems to get dirtied up faster than anything else. I am a newbie to BP shooting and have noticed that the wind has quite an effect on the slower moving fat projectiles we are shooting. I was seeing about 5 inches of drift to the left with a steady 10 to 12 mph crosswind. Something that would only have a half inch or so effect on a 3100fps .308 load.
