I found a county road that was flooded last summer. There still is a part of it that is underwater. There were muskrats sitting on the the roadbed this evening feeding. It seemed like there was a rat every 6 feet or so along the road.I saw enough houses and pushups to keep me busy for a long time. The lake/slough runs north of the road bed for about 2-2 1/2 miles. On the south side of the road the water runs for another 1/4 mile. The road bed is caving in from bank dens dug back into it.This is the most rat activity I've seen in one spot so far. It's 6 miles from the house.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!
