Fever Starting

Well season opens next saturday and really getting the fever. Did a quick spot check of the area yesterday in anticipation of getting stand ready. Discovered a hotbed of scrape activity about 600 yards from my stand area. This new area is over a hill and right next to a thicket area. Extends out to a little holler into a bean field. No way can I see this spot from my stand area.

Now I'm bouncing in my mind to move my stand try the new area. But the old stand has always been productive in past. What to do, what to do?

Sounds like a good funnel area...

You could always put up a cheap ladder stand up real quick in the middle of the day and then leave that area alone for a week or so...

Its gonna be warm all week and then a 30% chance of rain Sat in clark county...

 I agree with mrcoolid. Throw a stand up a little closer, maybe along the hollar. If it stresses you to much, I could probably come hunt it for you. That way you can hunt your regular spot

 I am hoping it stays at 30%. Hopefully the rain for Mon Tue Wen goes north. What a way to start a season.

 I talked to an older gentleman that is bow hunting our area. So far not looking real promicing. He did say while spotlighting(without weapons) he is starting to see a lot more deer movement, compared to the last month.
