AR Upper and Lower compatability

Will a .243 or .308 complete upper work on a .223 lower or do they require a larger lower?

All of the .308 based cartridges require an AR10 (larger)  lower.  You can get the 6.8spc, 6.5 Grendel, 50 Beowulf and a few others in the AR15 platform.

Remington has an AR-15 in 30 cal. that some say it mesures up to the 308. I don't know myself just passing it along. I think if you look up Remington 30 RAR or R-15 you will find it.
