3"x16"x12 feet long??. Before you chop that expensive wood check boyd's as they may have a sporter stock for both the 93 & 95 actions. I know they do 91's so good chance the others are available. Frank

I just restored a spanish stock that a woodchuck made.  It was that rough and close to being firewood.  Being a woodworker in my early teens to twenties i can pretty much build and refinish anything.  Now i would like to try my hands on making the orginal wood stocks if i can't find them.  I've seen some bastone walnut thats out of this world looking.  They offer it for garands and i may get a garand just to get the bastone stock for it. Maybe stock making is my new calling.

Bastone Walnut   www.westtexasarmory.com/WTAwoodstocks.htm  There's nothing like a good piece of wood. Schroll down and look at the 1911 grips too.

The only other wood i have seen thats this purdy is the brazilian rosewood.

I need to upgrade my kodak setup to post pics.  I just can't get it to work on my new puter.
