Buying Dog Meds Online

Anyone buying thier Dog meds online? ( Flea, Tick, heartworm etc. ) If so where and the best price. Thanks Lou

I have bought some supplies online.  I have a blue heeler that suffers from some sort of allergy.  She licked and scratched all the time.  Wife heard about something called Dine-O-Bite.  Sounded like a gimmick but we tried it.  It was less expensive than the meds and cortisone shots the vet was prescribing.  In the first couple of months I could not tell much difference and the dog did not like to eat the supplement.

About the third month I noticed the dog no longer suffered from the allergy and readily ate the supplement we added to her food.  I have been able to cut back on the amount of supplement I add to her food and she no longer scratches or licks.

I don't know who makes the product and I am certainly not endorsed by them, but I'm telling you that it works.  It takes will power to feed it to your dog(s) for two months without seeing any results, but give it a try.

i do it is not only cheaper for the meds but around here all the vets want to examine the dog run a bunch of tests and basically charge you 300 before the will sell you any meds.

   You sure have that right torpedoman. My Vet now wants to charge me for a wellness exam. What the heck is a wellness exam. I can't get out of there for much under $200 anymore.

We just have a house dog, but when is sitting by mama he is the most important dog in the world. The vet we use always wants to do all kinds
of stuff, runs about $200.00, think it is mostly cause he knows mama will
pay what ever.
I buy his flea, tick and mosquito med through PET-MEDS, you can go on
internet and compare prices, have had no problems

Ivomec liquid for heartworm very cheap been using it for years on my running walkers. For fleas and ticks Bayer tree and shrub spray.

Your between a rock and a hard place. Buying online IS cheaper. However, you may need a prescription before you can get it filled. So you must have the dog examined and prescribed a medication. Then the Vet needs to write it. Then you need to choose a source, outside the US or in. As far as Heartworms go I use Ivermic, however my dog (breed) is NOT sensitive to it as some breeds are. For me with two retired Greyhounds I can use it for 1 1/2 yrs before needing to get it again. Cost $40.00. Use Frontline Plus and I pay $120.00 a year. WARNING: Do your research first!

 You may want to try DR's Foster and Smith, they may not always be the cheapest but I have never recieved anything from them that was not fresh, as in new production. If you give your dog his shots yourself, you want to be careful where it is ordered from, injectibles tend to be very sensitive to temperture, and it does not take much to drop that optimum temperture, changeing the effectivness of the shot. I just buy mine at the local farm coop where they have a good turn over.
