speer gold dots

bought some 38spl+p gold dot and noticed when i got home they say "short barrel'' on the box. will it matter if i shoot them in a 4'' barrel or will that make them mushroom to much???

 No problem in your 4" barrel. That extra 2" wouldn't matter much anyway, in velocity.

+1 on what Sourdough said. The deer in  my avatar was killed in a a 4" Model 10 with short barrel load by Buffalo Bore. It is just advertising "short barrel" to let you know that is will expand in a snub. And the gold dots are excellent bullets. I would even run them through a rifle.
