Swampthang:  Your stating Obama is a Muslim IS a very strong form of HEARSAY.  You are posting at 12:15 p.m. when you should be doing the healthcare financial work that you purport to do.  You are either a liar or a cheat.  You are driving up healthcare costs.  You are part of the problem.  It is because of rising healthcare costs and the 50 million people without insurance that caused the government to pass the healthcare law.

Remember out of this 50 million uninsured, 85% were offered health care by their employers, and they didn't take it.  So that left only 7.5 million actual uninsured and not covered by medicare or medicaid.  I have to 4 kids in their 20's and health care was offered by three of their employers.  The didn't take it because they said it cost them too much.  Now with the new law they will be forced to take it.  The health care bill covered a lot of things besides health care.  NO Republican ideas were in it and it is a mess, and it is costing everyone too much.  They could have just expanded Medicare-Medicaid to cover anyone who didn't have it that were not offered it through their employers.  Wouldn't have cost as much, and just required people to take it at their places of employment.  Problem solved, no other government interference.

Yes maybe a few, but very few Republican ideas were in this long bill, but there is a whole lot of unnecessary pork.  Mine and a lot of other people's health care cost have gone up because of this stupid bill.  We were lied to that it would save money for everyone.  We are going to be taxed on the money we put into health care in January.  We used to get a tax break on health care expenses.  MOST AMERICANS want it repealed and reworked to reasonable costs.  The government is out of control.  Once the national debt hits $20 trillion, taxes will not cover the interest on the national debt.  We are almost bankrupt.  We can't afford it.  We can't afford leaches on welfare.  We can't afford money for the arts, foreign aid, etc.  Inflation will start to hit shortly and get out of control, because they are dumping $600 billion into the economy right now.  The fed chairman in 2006 said there would be no more bubbles to burst, because the feds have everything under control.  Nothing is under control.  Their goal is to destroy the old Capitalist America and make it socialist like most of the rest of the world.  When Reagan cut the taxes, the economy grew faster than ever in history.  My wife downloaded a chart showing this.  It grew far faster than the deficits the government created.  Now, the economy isn't growing, and the deficits are growing faster than ever.  Tax cuts for all, and drastic budget cuts by the feds are the only answer.

Yes the way he governs you could say he is a communist. You are right Pass. We don't like him for what he really is. He is many things, but the word Elitist kind of fits.

Aaaah... the wealthy have been taxed more than the poor for decades. In fact the so called poor that tax payers help support don't pay any tax.

Yes we would rather see insurance companies run health care than a bureaucratic government, that can't run anything efficient. Government needs to lift stupid laws that hinder competition among insurance companies. If government can make insurance companies look like the bad guys, it helps them look better in the public eye when it comes to taking over health care.

Do you really see them as economic programs to help end the recession. Socialist programs yes, but economic programs? Piling taxes on top of taxes on the wealthy doesn't work. It never did and it never will. What makes you think you have the right to money that someone else worked for? 

Why should tax payers have to prop up auto companies and banks? If a company can't make it, to bad start over or get out.

Yes most people here like conservatives and conservative thinking. Its what made this country what it is. It sure wasn't people with the character, and thinking of Obama. Do you know what kind of people formed this country? If not go read your history books. Just make sure you don't get a hold of any that were rewritten by liberal professors.

I can take the fact he believes in marxism, I can handle the fact he thinks government is the answer to all our woes, I can understand how someone can be an economic dunce, and have no experience whatsoever in running anything, let alone a country...I understand all that and can handle it.  Don't care what he believes in either, none of my business.  Obama is not even my main problem, he just signs what they put in front of him, he just signs it last, and only knows what he wanted in it...doesn't know what else it says, don't even care.  I can handle that too.

DDZ, he doesn't fit the communist definition unless you a right wing extremist who fears  UN black helicopters arriving at your door.  He is a centrist that isn't much different from the Bushes or Clinton. Growing up a minority and of average means, Obama is less an elitist than the Bushes and most prior Presidents.   Does being educated make you an elitist?  I have no problem with people stating  honest criticism of which you stated many legitimate, debatable concerns.  Obama has tried recession recovery programs to attempt to jump start the economy. He could just sit with his thumb up his butt and do nothing as some seem to advocate.   Hoover didn't react in 1929 and we went into a deep depression.  I have read a few history books.  I was a history major.  No, it wasn't the revisionist history that some try to rewrite on here that state Lincoln was our worst President etc...  American citizens and immigrants made this country what it is.  Some were liberal and some were conservative and people of both beliefs have shed their blood to preserve it.  You may think our bureaucratic government can't  run anything efficiently, but I will trust my life being defended by the United States Marines over any corporate military.

Pass Lake, Socialism is a stepping stone for communism, and I do believe Obama is a socialist headed toward being a communist. We obviously have different views on what Obama is, and if he is doing the right things to better our economy etc.., but to answer your question on whether you need to be educated to be an elitist. No you don't. How edcuated is Obama? I figure that if he is highly educated he would not have spent 700 some billion of tax payers money to try and stimulate the economy. Understanding simple economics is enough to know that government stealing peoples money and spending it for them does not spur an economy. So there must be some other agenda that Obama has, unless he really is that uneducated.
As Jimster pointed out it takes many others for Obama to achieve his agenda, and anymore there just are not many of them that have, we the people's best interests in mind.
