#3 375 Win.
« on: December 28, 2010, 08:54:16 AM »
Just traded into one of these today, got about 425.00 in it.  Finish has some issues on the butt stock and minor handling marks on the wood.  Got it to play with, but am aware it may go up in value.  Would it affect the value later on by having the stock refinished, a small patch about the size of a dime is bubbled up and flaked off.  Would Ruger refinish it and would that be better for holding value?  DP

Neat find, wish I were you!
IMHO, leave it as is. Ive had a number of original 'toys' and all, without exception, were worth more original than redone. A re-finish, no matter how good, is still a refinish.
If it bothers you, though, I could take care of that........
