Wire stretcher question???

Been putting up furs on wire stretchers and having problems with the hooks that hold the fur down sliding up on the wire.  How can you adjust the hooks or correct this problem of the hooks sliding up and not gripping.  Would appreciate any input.

bend the hooks down at a further angle and they will hold when stretching fur on wire stretcer.
