Can someone please explain to me in simple terms how a US law banning international law from being considered in US court cases is a violation of someones constitutional rights?

The 1st amendment doesnt apply it wasnt a law banning a religion.

If it had simply banned international law without mentioning Sharia it would have been fine.  Sharia has a religious component, and therefore cannot be legislated for or against.  As said though, the law was POINTLESS from the start, as the first amendment would ALREADY keep Sharia Law out of courtrooms specifically because it DOES have a religious component.

It would be as if the federal government passed a law banning cars from Montana and then Montana passed another law banning auto-racing in the sate.  There was no point as it was already not possible under existing laws.

Your missing the point. Sharia law has already been upheld in this country by the courts.
It was used to deny protection under the law because of someones faith.
Now you are saying we can't protect ourselves from this same thing because of the faith of others.
The federal government uses the the and ignores the Constitution as it sees fit , and them has the gall to dictate to a people in a sovereign state what is and what isn't constitutional. It's time for the federal government to go away.

If the  law was pointless or redundant because it already exists in the Constitution. Then how is un constitutional for a  state to affirm and clarifying the same law?

Because it mentions a SPECIFIC religion.  The Federal law (the constitution) makes it religion in general.  It's all in the wording.  If Oklahoma had stuck to "foreign law", or even if they had said "religious law", there would not be a problem.  If you make it about "The Law of Moses" or "Sharia Law" or anything specific, then you're going to run into unconstitutional territory.

Laws are based on moral's and ethics. Not religious beliefs. If so, are we going to start allowing stoning of women? Cutting off arms if a person is caught stealing? Shariah law is of a religious belief, and a pretty poor one at that.

On that we agree.  I think we just differ on when exactly the wasting began.

It is time states start saying to the feds, "you have no jurisdiction here, we will not comply with your rulings". When the feds cut thier funding the state stops collecting the federal taxes. Simple as that. Other states need to join in.

You would think that Oklahoma could change the specific wording of the law to make that Fed Judge happy and still achieve what they wanted.

I'm about to retire... in about 120 days I'll be a silly-villian again.  I REALLY hope I find a job in OK.  I can't wait to move home again.  At least I'll be around some folks with some sense.

The problem as I see it, is that many of our Federal employees are ignoring their oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.Judges are supposed to examine the merits of the question and then apply those facts aginst the existing case law in reaching their decisions. In some cases those judges through their personal views are making new laws.Until we start holding those indiviguals responsible for their actions the problem will continue to grow.In the case of Federal Judges who have been given lifetime appointments this procedure is going to require new mandates by the public they are supposed to serve. We as the complaintants in this action must require a strict observance to the written words of our Constitution, not their concept of what the document says. This idea that the means used justify the end result can no longer be accepted without a public outcry. The rules that our forefathers conceived must be followed to the letter if our country is to survive.
