Rossi Wizard pistol
« on: January 21, 2011, 04:31:22 PM »
So I hear they have a pistol version of the Wizard at SHOT show.  They only have 22-250 and .243 for now, but other calibers coming soon.  My question is, does anybody know how much they will be?  How long 'till they are in stores?

I don't imagine they will really replace my Contender, but I'm interested.

I just saw it on the web site. My past experiences with rossi have not been the greates to say the least. especialy when I bought my 22-250 which on the web site said 1 in 10 twist and I even called there cs and they confirmed it. Then after I bought it found that it was a 14 and they would no do anything for me. That being said the pistol really has my intrest also. Hope someone responds with a price.

I have been interested in a single shot pistol for quite some time, I just could not justify a T/C. I do like the looks of the pistol on their on-line site. If the price is reasonable and barrel selection is good, I think they will sell very well. JamesIII

I can't seem to find anybody online who is selling them yet.  Several interesting articles but I am very curious about the price.

I can't imagine they will be much more than the price of a Wizard rifle.  One would think it would be less, but they may get a bit for the 'hot new thing' feature.  It looks like these are just out and not yet in stores.  We'll see soon.

I'm hoping that they will be available in more cartridges soon.  I don't use 22-250 or 243, so I'd be hard pressed to take on a new caliber just to buy one of these.  Who knows, maybe we will be able to cut down existing Wizard barrels.  I'd really like one in .357 and .223  ;D

I would think if they want to get into the Encore market that they would offer many calibers not just those two

I just saw it on the web site.

Where on their site did you see it, I couldn't find it? Found announcements about it on the web, but not on the Rossi website, expected to see it in new products, but didn't happen.  ???

Looks to me like the Rossi Pistol is built on the old rossi frame, not the Wizard.  Larry

I think the Rossi switch barrel 22 and 45/410 is on the old frame, but the Wizard pistol looks like it is on the wizard frame.
