Should I bother hunting this spot or not?

I don't own my own land and I'm allowed to hunt on a friends dads farm. Its not a thick heavy woods or an ideal spot on its best day, but its something. I set my trail cameras up a week before gun season and there were some deer AND four guys hunting rabbits. I checked my cameras again after another week and no deer, BUT I have a pickup truck going down one of the main trails. I can't complain because he let's me hunt there, but apparently everyone else is hunting out there too.

Last year we didn't see a single deer there and I'm wondering if I should even bother with this spot this year or try to find something better.  I don't see other people there on the weekends while I'm there, but apparently it gets enough traffic during the week to keep the deer out. 

I'm going to be out there this weekend and I'll check the trail cameras again, but if there's no deer I think I'm done with that spot.

Teddy, I say no. I have permission to hunt a 3 acre parcel of land in IL farm country. There are no other hunters out there and my cameras get pics of does and small bucks. There are some things we can't control and some things that don't matter too much. In our cases, we are both limited to where we can hunt. The big difference being traffic. I have none and you have alot. I think that, in the end, we have to wonder why we did or didn't get a deer in those spots. Was it my doing/fault or someone else's actions. I don't like it when I miss an opportunity, but I get rather upset when someone else loses my opportunity for me.

Hope this rational makes sense and is useful.

Exactly my point.  I go out there and get my blinds all setup and put some good smelly stuff down before the season, then get pictures of 4 guys beating through the woods after rabbits.  I can't be mad at the farmer because he's being very nice to me and I appreciate it, but it's that the guy is too nice and lets everyone out there.  We'll see.

i dont under stand your thinking the guy lets you hunt but your  upset that he lets others. buy the way the rabbit hunters will help move deer .deer dont run far from beagles.

I'm not upset that he lets other people hunt, it's just frustrating when they wreck a good setup that I put the time into.  If it was a great place to hunt, then yeah I'd agree about the rabbit hunters, but this is a very small and thin stretch of woods.  Under perfect conditions it's still not a great place to hunt, but it's all I've got.

 I also hunt an area that gets a lot of traffic. But I am allowed to hunt there and still do. If it is the only place I had to hunt for the moment, I would hunt there. It would be better than staying home and thinking what if?

My area actually produced our 2 biggest deer to date. plus put 2 in the freezer this year for me

 I say go hunt. And keep an eye out for a new hunting ground.

 Edited  I just recently found out there are 8 people besides me and my kids hunting the 2 field area Guess I now know why we dont see a lot of deer.
