Loko caffeinated alcohol drink

The news stories about this Loko product really got my attention. A 24 ounce can of 12 percent alcohol meant to be chugalugged like a beer! Wow! That's like drinking an entire bottle of wine.

Then there was the story I read about, dig this, beer with 40 percent alcohol. Really! Apparently this is related to the boutique brewing craze in that a new camp has formed, the "alcohol arms race" camp. Whiskey is about 40% alcohol! Beer is normally about 5%.

I seen some of this in the store today. I was tempted. I opted for some Leinenkugels Imperial Stout.  9.5% Alc/Vol.    mmm good.

Gak! that's a lot for a beer, but I do remember drinking some Russian beers back in the iron curtain days. Transliterated it would sound like zhiguli. That was 12% and it was not bad at all.

Not that brand, but was in a store yesterday and saw a biggg can of 12 percent malt liquor in a colorful can. Pretty obvious that they are targeting kids.

I'd imagine the youngsters are the only ones who could handle this crap. UGHHHH I don't wantto revisit a mad dog 2020 drunk and hang over at 43.
