.444 Recipes

For you guys with a .444 T/C contender..What is the beat componets to start with e.g 240gr,265gr HP"s or FTX"s.I will probably get a friend to reload for me and I just want to supply the stuff.I am thinking of getting into reloading,but just haven't decided right yet.I figure i will help my buddy and see how it goes from there.I know the wife is getting me powder,bullets,primers for Christmas,with the help of the local gunshop.I just hope what they sell her works.I have talked to the guys several times and I know they recommended the 4198 and Hornadys 265 FTX's.Just wanted ya'll's .02

I agree, 4198 is a good one as is 322 and RL7.

The thing about H4198 is, it works well with everything from 240s to 330s either cast or jacketed in the 444.  How much to use is up to you.   ;)

Thanks.I really like how the factory recoil now with the Rem 240's feel,but I figure the reloads might get alittle more adrupt in the hand.I really want agood solid deer load.I also wonder what problems I could run into if any using the FTX bullets.I had read somewhere that you have to watch for the length of the bullet.Its all new to me but I quess I must start somewhere.
