Looking for a good Gunsmith !
« on: November 14, 2010, 02:41:40 AM »
Heres the deal so maybe someone could help me out with a good Gunsmith , My father recently passed away from cancer and left me his collection . I have a 1939 Mauser 98 in a 30-06 , I used this gun all the time when we hunted together , well dad decided to take it to a Smith here to have it drilled and tapped for scope mounts and well the jackazz smith who did it ( was supossed to be one of the best around here , NJ ) drilled them crooked and I was wanting to have it fixed and then the whole thing re-blued . If Anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it , thanks !

You might check the sponsors list here on GB's for a smith and Brownells has a listing on their website of smiths. If you're looking for something local you may get lucky..
