Big boss and RCBS primer pocket swag

I bought the Redding Big Boss press, very nice press.
But I shot up some Mil-surplus 308 ammo over the weekend. All went well with the new press until I got ready to swag the primer pockets, with my RCBS swag tool. The cup that knocks the brass off the swag, fit the over size ram ok, but the ram doesn’t go far enough into the press housing to push the cup up, to knock the brass loose from the swag pin. I still have the old Pacific mounted on the bench, switched over and finished up swaging the primer pockets.
Glad I did not remove the old press. I have a large bench so the old pacific will stay mounted, you could make a shim too fix the problem if you had to.

Many years ago I had that problem with my C-H press.  The ram was larger than the cap.  I found a washer that the cap would just fit in and had it welded on.  Works great since.
