You oughta put something under the frame to transfer the recoil directly into the ground instead of through the tires.  All that bouncing around does nothing good.

Sorry, your gun is an interesting design and would make a good discussion topic but it does not appear to replicate a pre 1899 design and as such does not meet the criteria for posting  on the GBO Blackpowder Mortar and Cannon forum.    If you can provide a letter from  ATF acknowledging that this gun is as a replica of Antique cannon  then you can post on the Cannon board.

Looks like a LOT of fun.
BATF can split hairs (legal/not) just on how it looks - the key word are 'replica' and pre-1898.

That's a cool looking tube. How much powder do you usually use to launch the ballz? What were the animals running away when you were looking for the shot ball farther in the distance?

Thanks, 6ounces of cannon grade will shoot a 16 LBS ball a little over 1,000 yards ;D
