H & R Topper 58 Has a New Home
« on: November 23, 2010, 03:51:55 AM »
I've been looking for a H & R  Topper in 30-30 to replace the one I sold awhile back.I found one Sat., it's a model 58.I put a scope & hammer ext. on it.According to the ser. # it was made in 1982.There are some nicks in the stock and the outside of the barrel needed some attention.I paid $125 for it, so I can't complain too much.I want to get it sighted in for the last part of the deer season here in Mi.

Good Luck with your 30-30. I really like the three we have, especially the weight of the barrel and overall weight of the rifle. For $125 you made a super deal. Good luck with the rest of the deer season.

Congratulations to you!  And I agree, I also wish H&R still offered more calibers in that lighter weight barrel.  My topper was my first handi and it is still my favorite!  Mine does great loaded with Quick's 125 gr Sierra Prohunters over H4895!  The last time I was able to go hunting, she took a nice Michigan whitetail for me.  44 Man
