If you're a gambling man, shoot it.

If you're the sensible, conservative type, don't shoot it.

I would guess your buddy is correct. But You could tell for yourself, pull a bullet from another case and check to see if its a hollow based bullet....

No way would i load that into any of my firearms.
if you reload, take your bullet puller and disassemble it.
or go buy a puller and knock it apart.

Yep , bullet seated upside down , pull it apart , re-melt the bullet if you cast , save the case for the next time you load if its one that you load for .

I was at a shoot once and found were I had seated a primer upside down , it happens to even the best of us .  :-[

If you are a gambling man: Drop a .22 round nose first into the hole, fire it against a hard surface and see what happens!  ;D

If you are sensible: Keep it as conversation piece as a new style of wadcutter that actually makes donut shaped holes!

Blessings!

They may end up giving you an additional box of shells for your trouble.

I sometimes purposefully load 148 grain hollow base wadcutters this way for my 38....but I know my seating depth and how much powder I've loaded.  You have an obvious accident, and you don't know if anything else is wrong.  No way would I fire this.......

45 colt personal defence round. Ouch that baby would really do some damage.

I wouldn't shoot it. Let us know what Winchester says. Tell them all the identifying information you have on it, maybe even a picture? It would be great if they send you a box of bullets for your trouble.
