a way to turn Micheal Waddell and the woman shooting a bow off? It has gotten to the point where I can't even get on my favorite site because of the ads. They are popping up non stop and I can't read a post because when I open the post they keep popping back up just as fast as I can close them. Can someone please tell me there is a way to fix this.

I have no clue why some folks are saying they see it every time unless they read VERY slowly. It is set to show the video once every ten minutes and daily I time it several times to verify that timing. The other pop up shows four times daily per my count.

I'll ask Matt to look into it but without knowing the particulars of your OS and other software he can't know. There has to be something unique to the set ups you guys are using who have this problem as practically everyone else isn't seeing them that often and many don't see them at all. We've explained dozens of times how to avoid them. Look at the Forum Help posts about it and you'll see all the info on how to avoid them.

One possible help might come on Dec. 1 when OSH will move off the yahoo ad server and onto Google ad server. It is far more reliable and folks like us complaining to them about yahoo is why they are making the change. Other than that Jan. 1 is the date we plan to disable them as the contract ends on Dec. 31.

I would speculate that it's because they're opening multiple browser sessions, or... multiple tabs within a browser, with diff GBO threads in each one.

I'm talking, not Complaining
I have been on today about 30 minutes I have had 4 adds pop up
I have for op system windows Vista wadel, wadel, the girl, and the banner
Some days its more, others its a bit less?
Bill one day last week, I thought they we removed
I had been on most of the day ( I leave GBO open) later in the afternoon
the adds were not here,that is/was the only day I can recall of no Adds

I generally like the ads at GB forums, but these popups are horrendous. The irony is that it gives me an even more negative impression of GM products than I had before.

By the way, have you ever wondered why so many of these outdoor talking heads have southern accents? It would be interesting to know the numbers behind this selection.

Here just recently I have also had both sets of adds pop up on the same screen at the same time.  Really frustrating.  Count me in for one of the folks who gets an add on every click.  I will be glad when the first of the year rolls around.

Seems to me as if they are less frequent than they were a week or two ago.

No idea who the people are, I really don't follow the professional hunting and such.  Don't mind looking at the female archer.  Would be better if she were in a bikini or thong.  Heck, even a cat suit.  The other two adds, just click on the close button and get a life.

Knowing that it going to come to an end I just deal with it, and quick on the mouse to close the add.  Because of the pop-ups I log out and in more often and most likely I get them more.  But I have become concerned for security reasons all websites.

I had to re-install my avatar this morning; did it disappear because of a virus, mechanical malfunction, or some other reason?  Clearly some would be offended by the flag of the United States of America with the sun setting in the West.

Unless Matt was messing around with the server I have no clue why the avatar might have disappeared.

Yes if you log out and then back it and if you delete cookies especially then you'll see the dashboard more but it shouldn't matter on the video.

Trust me no one will be happier than me when the popups go away. I'll miss the income but it isn't enough to keep putting up with the ads.
