Savage 99R in .308 Win

Man, I'll never use another rifle.   It'll bring down anything in North America, and doesn't leave an egg on my shoulder.

Savage99s are awesome.

I have my Dad's old 99R in .300 Savage.  I use it for Whitetails in the U.P.  Perfect deer caliber in a great, classic rifle.  The .308 (7.62mm NATO) was developed from the .300. 

I appreciate those who refrain from inserting their partisan political beliefs here.

I believe,the 7.62 NATO was developed from the 30-06 ?



I stand corrected, I just read,on another forum,the 7.62 NATO round was developed from the 300 Savage.
Hunter, Shooter,Second Amendment Supporter,Handloader.
