Grice Micro Hunter in 257 Roberts
« on: November 05, 2010, 06:39:53 PM »
I just bought one of these 257 Roberts Micro Hunters.  It's got to be a sweet little rig.  I've been wanting a Roberts in a lightweight setup and couldn't pass it up.  They've got 'em for $649.
I've got a Luepy 3-9 Compact that I'll probably put on it.
Can't wait to get it!

Sounds nice, a great 'reloaders' round.

I agree, but times seem to be a changin'.  There are several good factory load offerings in the market now with +P performance.

That's for sure duck, I shoot reloads in the Roberts rifles I own but did buy 2 boxes of hornady custom ammo with the 117gr btsp interlock bullet just to have a few factory rounds. Haven't shot any yet though.

Regards,

I reload mine as well Pastor, but it's nice to know there is some factory fodder out there.  I've got some of those SST's and might have to give 'em a whirl  ;) .  It's driving me crazy waiting on my scope bases.  I'm really anxious to get her to the range.

What is a Grice? Who makes it and who has it for $649?

Ha Ha!
BROWNING Micro Hunter at Grice Gun Shop.  How's that? ;D

For those not familiar with them:

Grice is a giant gun shop that does a large internet business.  They sell both wholesale and retail.  They are best known for carrying "special run" items form manufacturers.  Here is the link, but I must warn you...you WILL want to spend money as you browse the flyer ;D

UUUMMM I hope it's OK to post that link  :-\

Being a lefty, I just had an A bolt rebarreled to 250AI.  I ceramic coated it and it took two deer this year.  Going to get the barrel recontoured to featherweight, pillar bed it and give it a Jard trigger.  Also going to give it a Weaver 1x3x20 scope in QD rings to go with the 3x12x40AO Nikon it has now.  The 25 cals make good varmint to meat hunting rifles.
