XP=100 CUSTOMS
« on: November 28, 2010, 02:40:00 PM »
Many years ago, I built a long range handgun from an xp 100. Chambered in 221 Remington Fireball, features a Hart 15'' match grade barrel, trigger job, center grip stock and a varible power rifle scope. After getting involved with Encore pistols, I put it in the safe and nearly forgot about it. Today I took it to the range and shot a one inch group at two hundred yards, right in the middle of the bullseye. I forgot how easy and fun the XP's are to shoot. Miss my 7mm xp and the 223 I built in the 80's.
Anyone else out there have an XP-100 they are playing with? If so, what caliber? Got photos?

eastbank, those are some fine looking xp's!! Can you tell me a little about the scopes on them? 200 yds is a long ways to hold on a tiny spot. I have a very heavy barrel and great sandbags, add some luck and once in a while I can get a clean 1'' but usally, 1.25 to 1.80. At 100 yds, this thing is amazing but again, I have a bench rest barrel. The down side to a bench gun is that it is hard to hunt with. Yours look ready to clean up some dog towns!
