Generally, it's been my experience with Taurus firearms that it is the luck of the draw.   :(  You pays your money and takes your chances!   ;)

I found a real good deal on a 3" but after reading about some of the issues people are having with Taurus products I think I'll pass. I have been shooting a friends .327 Magnum ( Ruger), like the cartridge, and have all the .32 components because I shoot a 32-20 but just don't think it's worth the chance of getting a lemon. It sounds like customer support is worthless.

What AtLaw said +1. Luck of the draw. Personally, I would spend a little more on a Smith. Same chance but for me has better luck. Example: (AtLaw, cover your ears) I once knew an attorney that worked a jury with brilliance. Gave arguments that got the truth from deceiving folks.  And his dismissal rate via varias motions was awesome. But, as with any great thing, it came to an end. He filed an answer to a divorce petition 1 day late and a default judgement was ruled against his client. A simple fax.  My point..... no gun maker is perfect and I believe in second chances for them all. Taurus has let me down, but so has Smith and H&R.  After the first 100 rnds you will know.
