Dan Toelke's new bow
« on: November 17, 2010, 11:38:27 PM »
I asked Dan a while back if he would make a  3 piece longbow and now he finally has! It looks pretty sharp. Go to his website http://montanabows.com/cms/ and look in his inventory and go to whips and you should be able to see a picture of it. They are tough.

I really like Dan. I bought my first custom bow from him. He has really taken care of me in the past. I need to call him and tell him what I thought about those pictures he sent me.

Dan Toelke has sold 3 or 4  Whip model bows to a couple of mates of mine. The latest purchase, his 2 piece T/D Whip. They are without doubt amounst  the smoothest, fastest, quitest bows I have ever shot - Just superb. Most amazing thing is he makes and ships them quickly - my mates had there bows in their hands in 5  to 7 weeks after placing the order. This is incredible for a custom bow and when you consider he shipped them to the other side of the world, Australia in this time frame.  If I had the $$ right now I'd bow a Toelke bow.

I would think a whip would be sweet to use if you were hog hunting. They are light and quick pointing.

I took mine to S. Texas one year along with a recurve. I do not think that I killed any thing big with it down there though.
