Fear on the Mexican Border
« on: July 30, 2010, 09:09:22 AM »
i was watching night line last night and i saw a story called Fear on the Mexican Border/A Texas town totes guns in fear of the rising drug violence in Mexico.  the places is fort hancock texas.

http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/

the cops there are tell people to arm them selfs and be ready to help the cops fight if asked.  I bet if some came with a class 3 form he would fill it out. he ever says " that people with guns help keep the town safer"

Cops there are smart, they realize that they cannot be everywhere all the time and an armed society is a polite (and safe) society.

Notice where most crime happens: areas with LOTS of gun laws.

Not as much crime here in my county, because lots of hunters, shooters, and CC permits :)

I live around lots of Mexicans and as they said "we no start no problems. " they are good people and i have never had any problems with them. I can't say the same thing with other non-americans. Really to me the problem is it's not be fought as a war.  we need the clear-hold-build approach like in Kandahar.

real solution would be a bounty on anyone caught crossing the border, double if they have drugs on them.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

A "bounty"?

I've often thought that you could solve the whole illegal alien problem by putting a bounty system on them like we used to do with other vermin.

Or, alternatively, how about the government collecting license fees from public spirited citizen  exterminators who will deal with this infestation from south of the border.  A special hunting license with tags for illegal aliens.  LImit:  5 per season;  2 in possession or something like that. Kind of like quail.   I'm not sure how much the market would bear, but it's better than letting them just walk over us.

Years ago law enforcement interviewed some Mexican drug cartel killers who ate their Mexican victims in an old Aztec reinactment type of thing.  Pretty sick stuff, but that's what they did. "Said their victims "tasted like chicken." :-\  Didn't say how they were prepared.)

I'm not saying we should eat them. You have to draw the line somewhere.  But,...how about processing into dog food.

I agree with "war" approach. Law enforcement level isn't cutting it. Get the air force involved. identify strongholds and cook them. Use ground troops to invade and weed them out of the civilians. What more reason do you need than bullets hitting the El Paso city hall? And to begin with give 60 day notice for people to make arrangements then seal every road to and from Mexico. Nobody in, nobody out. A few will sneak through the desert but the mass drug trade will be out of business. Drugs, like any product, needs transportation other than a person carrying it i.e. trucks, roads, etc. And when a delivey vehicle is spotted, since they would be insurgents, don't worry about arresting them. That's why God invented laser guided bombs. I tend to think that a drone or F-22 would cause them more concern and hesitation than the threat of a police car. No matter how many rifles or bombs they have they know they would be helpless. I don't know if everyone knows what a tank sabot round does to another tank but you better bring a soup lattle to clean the mess up. Just picture a 120 lb goat being sucked through a 10" hole. Much more of a deterrent than red & blue lights. These folks aint fighting for belief just cash. Money don't mean that much when your about to be a charcoal briquet. I think after the first mass killing on US soil then we will act. I could see it happening. Putting bullets into El Paso city hall is just to test reaction, not an accident IMHO. The US did nothing. The US has fought too many wars and have the technology to take the war to them. Someone in high level is just not acting for whatever reason. Proactive persons win, Reactive persons are stuck with the mess to clean up after licking their wounds.
