Ive had the .22Mag in the Ultra Varmint model for some time, it performs pretty well, but if I was really going for long range varminting, etc. I would get a .223 in the new faster twist version. Then with a good ..22LR and the .223 that would shoot the light and heavier bullets well it would cover a lot of bases. A larger caliber for deer or black bear and a 20ga. and a guy would have an all round battery that would do it all.
