Has anyone ever heard of these guys? I just got one of their flyers in the mail and was wondering about their reputation. They have Mosins at really good prices.

I have dealt with J&G quite a bit.  I live near Prescott, have J&G along with 11 other gun stores within 20 minutes drive, not counting stores like walmart or pawn shops.  J&G is very competitive, guys behind counter are knowlegeable, courteous, and they generally have a good amount of stock on hand.  Go to the website to double check stock before making a trip though.   What was it John Denver sang about, oh yeah, almost heaven.

I've bought a surplus rifle or two from them.  Also, some cans of surplus ammo.  Always as advertised.  Never any problems.

I was buying parts from them in the early 1960s. They were located on a ranch near Malta, Mt. in those days.  They stored everything in old grain silos.  The cold Montana winters chased  them south to Az. later on.  I enjoy my visits to the gun stores in Prescott and don't forget Ruger is there also. :)

Sounds like a reputable outfit, thanks for all the replies everyone.
I'll most likely be doing business with them in the future.

I've bought several C&R guns from them in the last two years. No problems and the guns have been as described.

Can you explain to me what the term Curio & Relic means? Do C&R firearm actually work or are they wall hangers?

They work. Basically it's any firearm which is at least 50 years old. There are certain firearms which are excluded. Also you need to look at your state or local laws in purchasing certain firearms. The C&R license does not make you a dealer but for you to collect firearms for your own use. Although you are allowed to sell them from time to time you can't do it as a dealer would.

I did a little bit of research on the C&R license, I have a good concept on what it is and how it works. IHaving this license just allows me to have certain eligible guns shipped directly to me rather than having to pay an FFL for a transfer.
I might consider it if I wanted to start collecting old mlitary guns but at this point I don't.
Thanks for the heads up.
