38-55 to 357 herrett

i was going through my father-in-law's stuff and he had 20- 38-55 brass that have been necked down and shorten. I thinking 357 Herrett?

Is the case about 1.750"? With a neck about bullet diameter?

You need to check the rim cut on your barrel first. The .38/55 has a slightly larger rim on it than the .30-30
