there is a company call FRANKLIN ARMORY that makes a AR "hand gun" called the XO-26b with a secondary vertical grip . this is what they said on there site:"This new design features an 11.5" barrel and comes in 5.56 NATO or 7.62x39mm. The XO-26b ships to 01/FFLs, and it is not an AOW. Consequently, no NFA paperwork is required! Each XO-26b ships with a copy of the ATF approval letter signed by the Chief of the ATF Firearms Technology Branch. Franklin Armory management made the argument to ATF that the XO-26 configuration above is not readily concealable and therefore should not be classified as an AOW even though it has a secondary grip. ATF agreed". They say it's not a AOW but i still would be careful buying it(the government is good at changing there mind). So is it a AOW or not really?
