So what did Santa Bring?
« on: December 26, 2010, 02:40:59 AM »
The wife got me a 2002 F-150 Lariot 4X4.  Now I can get out in the country when I need to.  What did you'all get?  (I know the F-150 isn't a gun, but it gets me out where I can use my guns).

A new heat pump and AC unit for the house the beginning of December.  :(   There was some clothes under the tree as well as some little goodies in our stockings.

Things were a little lean this CHRISTmas but we have our health and we got to spend time with at least some of the family and loved ones so I ain't complaining.   There are many folks out there dealing with far worse circumstances than us.

God Bless.

Bugeye, that's an admirable thing you did.  May you receive many blessings for it if you have not already.  I have been on both sides of the road myself and I can say from experience that it is better to be able to give than it is to receive.

The best thing I have ever received. A grandson home after 11 days in NICU. Wasn't supposed to survive the first 24 hours, but he bucked the odds. Also wasn't supposed to be released til Christmas day, but beat that by 10 days. He has brain damage, but I think likely he will beat some of that too!The hand of God is most asuradly with this child, and praise to God as well.

brett, thanks.  It wasn't much this year.  my wife took a pay cut.  but all thru the year when we want something we just go get it.  so it's really a small sacrifice for us but something big for familys with kids.

We had a small gift exchange and dinner with my parents. Dad is 89, Mom is 82. My Wifes parents are
deceased so she enjoys time with mine. After dinner, I took Dad to see one of his favorite students who
is now a fireman. In all my Dads years as wood shop teacher, this student is one that he remembers as
a favorite. Dwight was on duty and let Dad get a real close look at a LaFrance Type12 like his Dad drove
for the Eugene, Or. fire department. This little visit was supposed to be a present to Dad but seeing him
with two favorites, a good student from his past and the restored LaFrance were the best presents I have
received in many a year.

Lots of time with the family, plenty of good food and a wonderful chance to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!

My wife also got me an RCBS single stage press, now I can start working up rifle loads!

Until I heard that you got a new Ford, 'Lariot' I thought I'd received exactly what I wanted; but, now, I'm not so sure.   ;)

A brand new 3rd. generation Glock Model 19 - A relatively rare one:  Austrian,  with slide scallops and an RTF2 finish.  (Hey, I'm happy!)
