« on: December 06, 2010, 04:35:17 AM »
Thinking of buying one, however what kind of accuracy could I be expected to have over a non match barrel. This barrel to be used specifically at 100yds. Thanks for any info. based on experience.  S.A.Paul

I have a 23" bull barrel with a match chamber. I don't punch paper
very much, preferring reactive targets. What little paper target work
I have done with it proved to be very satisfactory. It is accurate
enough to be a bit boring and cause me to bring out may assortment
of steel targets. Same could be said about my T/C Benchmark, both
very accurate.

Thanks for the info, I'm not punching paper @ 100yds., but eggs...8-)  We have numerous shoots, and wanted to be competitive. The tie breakers are toosie roll lollypops. Thanks again for the input.

I only have the 23" match chamber barrel, not a "standard" chamber barrel to compare side-by-side with. Mine is exceptionally accurate. I do not shoot matches with it, but small game. head shots are no problem at all at 50-75 yards, which is about all I try it at off hand anyway. I'm not using match ammo, but the cheap as dirt American Eagle red brick ammo, with I believe the 40 gr hp. With that ammo I have no problem covering my 5 shot groups at 50 yards with a quarter.

I've never really given it a hard test with match ammo and match conditions. I can tell you that no squirrel or rabbit is safe at 100 yards if I can spot them and they're dumb enough to sit still.
