I stole a crossbow
« on: December 23, 2010, 01:54:37 AM »
Look what fell into my lap about two months ago. I was in the market for a newer crossbow as NY state will allow crossbow big game hunting in 2011 (gun season only). It just so happened to be that a buddy of mine was selling one. I purchased from him a Crossman Teton package that he had a Harris bypod on for under $150 bucks. Thank god he has the money to buy a PSE Tac15I and toss me the Teton. I could not be any more pleased with the bow. I think the bow speed is under rated as I am shooting 326 fps using a 422 grain arrow and they market it at 330 fps with a 400 grain arrow. I can hold good groups out to 60 yards and feel more than confident I can take deer size game out to 30 yards with ease. I think I need to invest in a new bag target as I am driving the arrows to the fletching more so than not. From the factory it came with 20" arrows, I was wondering if I can use 22" arrows? By the way that $1,500 PSE (as cool as it is) didnt do poo for my buddys accuracy. I think he needs to upgrade to a Scorpyd rtd 165, and sell me the PSE.
