m 1969.22 romania ???

dose any one know what size the dove tail is on the m1969 .22
i took the gun with me and they measured and said 11mm i can order them.   ok  got them and they are to big as well. is there a smaller dove tail?

kwik-site makes what you need. i have used thier product on a couple of romanian .22's.

3/8s is still to big!!!   what size is the dove tail? i dont want to buy another set of mounts that do not fit.
i looked on kwiksight and do not see a smaller size dove tail.  11mm or 3/8s it is neither.

I suggest you can file it down-----carefullly--very carefully--well, I can't---but others can.
How about geting someone to re-cut the cove tail?

  From a little reading i have done there re in fact adapters for hese rifles.  The other solution is to file down the clamp side of your scope rings until it will tighten up.  try a cheapo pair first if you dont want to start out with a nice set just to make sure it wil work for you.  my brother had a scope on his and i think he just cranked down on a set of rimfire rings till they fit,  hes definitely a no frills guy.

i tryed to just keep cranken on the screw and broke the bottem off the mount.
now if i file down the mount wont that off set the scope? the mounts are about 1/8 in. too big.
i am not real good on the computer i did look at the kwik sight and did not see any sizes for the dove tail
with a tape measure it looks to be 1/4 in. dove tail.

very sorry about the rings breaking it was bad advice.  I think you are right about offsetting your scope by filing on the rings.  these i beleive are what you want.

my son will be tickeled to finally get his scope on this .22

The quicksite link goes directly to the mount needed for the romanian 22 rifle you have.  If you read the description of the mount it says that it is for the romanian 22 at the bottom and those are in stock.  all you have to do is attach the weaver base to your 22 rail on the rifle and then mount your rings to the new base.  this will give you many more ring options than rimfire rings offer.
