I have no idea but I can tell you this. I've found that the oils that molecularly bond to metals are by far the best when used as both a presevative and lubricant. I wipe my guns down just once. Put them up and forget about them. I've never found even a hint of rust since using an oil called MCM (Molecular Metal Conditioner) and it won't rub or burn off. I'm surrounded by three large lakes in the Ozarks and humidity is high to say the least and my firearms sometimes go a full year without getting used and look as good as when first oiled.

Maybe this is what you're looking for?

Tim

I've lived and hunted on the wet side of Washington state for over 50yrs, if you don't hunt in the rain, you may not get to hunt much!  :-\ I've used Eezox for the last 20yrs or so, it's about as good as it gets for protecting metal from the elements, Breakfree CLP would be a very good choice too and a lot easier to find locally.
