Does anybody use the term global warming anymore?
« on: December 11, 2010, 01:47:57 AM »
Climate change seems to have replaced the term. I can only imagine that this is because there are so many distinctly un-warm days in places where US voters live.

Today f'rinstance we get about 15" of snow with 52mph gusts and then the really cold sub zero air comes in tomorrow.

Its climate change now, so if we have a mini ice age like some are predicting, the sky is falling crowd can say, see what man has caused. The global warming crowd is seeing now that we may be cooling rather than heating, so they had to change the term.
Just like they did in the 70's when we had cold weather and they were predicting an ice age, because of us living wrong. It doesn't matter to them, cold spell or hot spell. Its all about blaming it on people so that the way we live can be regulated. It all comes down to removing more of our liberty.
Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.    Wm. Penn

Yes, I still use the term "global warming"--as in statements like, I sure hope we're having global warming; who the hell would wish for global cooling?

Other than that, though, DDZ has it right.

I just heard the weather report for my area. They are not getting wind readings because the wind gauge froze up. I'm guessing about 20mph.

CTL, that would be "gaugal freezing". And it is very serious, it is caused by humans placing wind gauges in areas where freezing temperatures can affect their operation. In short, its mans fault. We must do away with wind gauges now! Think of the children! Think of the puppies! Think of the rainbows! We're all gonna die!!

It's not only about controlling us and taking away more of our liberty it's also about money.  There are a whole bunch of scientists, researchers, engineers, manufacturers, etc making a bundle of money saving us from ourselves.

About 3 years ago we were joking with a friend about global warming.  He looked at us with a straight face and said..."it's not global warming, it's climate change"  :o ??? :o  We knew at that moment there was no hope as the lights were on but no one was home.

On a brighter note at least they told us the recession has been over since June 2009  ??? ??? ???

Keep your finger crossed for the country and God Bless America!

I heard on the radio Friday that there was a global warming summit being held by the UN in lovely Cancun Mexico. Funny part of it was that Cancun was having a cold snap that day! The coldest day recorded in Cancun, Mexico in over 100 years!! True story.
That is rich!!
I mentioned this on facebook and my cousin (God bless her heart) said, "I think this is where people get confused with the terminology." "Global climate change is the proper term.".
I had to laugh! This the new montra of the global warming nuts. I just asked her to give me solid evidence that there is any valid proof of man-made global warming. There is none, of course, it's all speculation.
I got no answer from her, of course.

They have been proven wrong and their "scientists" proven liars....so they moved the goalposts. The "inconvenient truth: the warmies must face is that the climate does change..nobody ever denied that. Never saw any place which carries the exact same temperature, rainfall or wind turbulence day after day, year after year...DUH

Liar Al has bought more California property..Yep..he bought a big condo at 3rd & Mission sts in San Francisco. Now his "loyal lemming" cheerleaders can worry their nights away even more often for their glorious leader, who only has their best interests (and his bank account) at heart.
If the water rises from global warming the way liar Al has predicted, this condo as well as his big seacoast mansion ..will both be inundated in the flood. My heart really goes out to the heartbroken loyal lemmings.... ;) :D ;D

War on terror, war on drugs, climate change... We have entered an economy of fear, all funded by your tax dollars or devaluing your dollars by printing money...

+1 schuetzen. The corrupt members of the corrupt UN, are wasting NO time in coming up with ways that they can bilk the people of even more of their money.  "No subjects left behind", "There are an untold amount of reasons yet to be fabricated, to seperate the money from the servile taxpaying scum".

I will always refer to it as globle warming. It just speaks to the stupidity of the people that came up with it in the first place and then had to change the name to try to save face. I like to remind them and anyone else that believes that crap by saying it.

Also, when I see the un-seasonalibly frigid temps,(Febuary temps in November), I make sure to warn everyone that will listen that, GLOBLE WARMING IS GOING TO KILL US ALL!!!!

Temps didn't get into the + side of the thermometer for several days in Helena, Mt last month.
