I'm glad that Bernie Madoff will have to live the rest of his life in prison knowing that he is personally responsible for the suicide of his son.

I really don't know anything about the son. I certainly don't hold one accountable for the sins of a parent.
Too many times I see children of polititians get bashed just because of parents, like C Clinton or B. Palin, I am not

Well,,,,I'll tell you what big guy. I don't much care what you 'care' about all the time... How about I be in charge of the posts I write, when and where ever I write them and when I feel like it.!! And you be in charge of yours...sounds pretty fair and square to me....

Leaving no suicide note means absolutely nothing. I know of at least 4 or 5 I've known personally who never left a note.
It's entirely possible that bernies son felt guilty in turning in his father and had been eating away at him for quite some time, don't know. POWDERMAN.

That I must agree with. Some people leave notes, some don't. Some people kill themselves on a whim. I knew a guy personally who had drank a little one night. His girlfriend had recently left him, but he *seemed* to be taking it ok. Bogged his truck down in the middle of the woods (literally miles from any house). Called a friend to help him pull the truck out. When the friend arrived the truck was indeed bogged down, and the guy had already shot himself in head. No note or anything, just blew his head off on a whim.

Bad stuff happens in the world. There's not always some conspiracy behind it. Occam's Razor and all that. 99% of what happens will be simple, unelaborate, boring stuff where the obvious explanation is the right one.

Being in the line of work that I am I have been first on the scene of more than a few suicides and I cant recall ever finding a note on or near the body although looking for a note was never my primary concern.

I don't feel sorry for the family. Not one of them ever had a word of remorse for Bernie's victims. All they cared about was trying to protect the money which Bernie stole.

The whole story is symptomatic of our times. Bernie Madoff is an evil man and deserves everything he has coming. Problem is there are a lot of Madoff's out there in this country in every walk of life. Makes me wonder if we are living through the last days of Rome.?
