Bought my Daughter's 7600- Wow!
« on: November 03, 2010, 03:16:54 PM »
Bought the rifle back from her in 243Win. Shot it today a 100 yards with Rem. corelocks 100gr. I was very impressed 1/2 group. Is that the norm for these 7600? If it is I might get one in 308 Win. I realy would like to hear from others who use factory ammo in 308Win

Well Last week I bought a 7600 slighty used myself in '06. It has the 18 1/2 barrel with the Syn. stock .

It shot 1/2 " groups @ 50 yards off the shoulder .
I thought it was something I was going wrong , since I can't really shoot under an inch with a bolt sction that is supported on a rest .

So guess these girls as stated  "Do " shoot !!
Happy

I have a 7600 in .257 Roberts. It also shoots into an inch at 100yds. This is using Remington 117Gr. ammo.

Rifle Barrel on it. I bought it a couple years ago for $240.00. My Son wanted it real bad so I traded Him something? for it. This Spring I managed to get it back . They are an easy carrying Deer Rifle.  I had, at one time, a 760 in 30-06 that was a Crbine. In a fit of stupitity I sold it....

I have noticed that they are easy to carry. Its almost better than my Marlin 336C to carry.

I have a 308, factory corelokts are of.  I shoot Varget and 165 Hor. sp., now that is a load, alot ragged 3 hole groups on a good day.  I had the barrel cut to 18", really like the shorter barrel in a tree stand.

I handled one in the carbine 30-06 and like it. Remington does make one once and a while in the 308 they haven't in the last couple of years.
