Ruger No 3's 375 win barrel - what am I going do with it?

I bought a barrel years ago off Internet in 375 win for a ruger No.3 by mistake. I thought it was 375 H&H. So now I got this barrel and am not going to buy another Ruger No1 or 3 to swap it to. So, what can I do with it?
 
Can I rechmaber to something useful, like maybe 375 -08 or 375-06 or 375x57. any suggestions and advise? Not really long barrel, maybe 22 inches and would probably put in on a Mauser 98 action.

Not knowing the barrel or thread size of either.  Cuttng back the barrel to rechamber it is an option but the barrel on my No 3 has a sharp shoulder coutour and I don't know if it will fit in a large ring mauser.  I would hate to think of rechambering it to 375 H&H and shooting it out of a No3.
I would just sell the barrel.
Someone may want it to fix up their No 3, make a No 1 carbine brush thumper or any other projects that my pea brain can not think of.

Selling is always an option.
 
Anybody want to buy a 375 winchester Ruger No 3 barrel - $100 plus Shipping?

But put it on what frame?
No3, No1?
I don't think it will work with a Mauser 98 action, the rimed round.
It may work with a siamese action.  The tapered short shell may work better than the 45-70 I did.
A Brit Enfield may work as the 375 JDJ is just a little shorter than the 303 Brit buit I am not sure about the size of the hole and threading in the reciever of the No 1 or 4 and the size and threading of the barrel.

Shinjin:  you may just want to sell it.  If you are really interested in rebarrelling something to a 375 Winchester you can always check with the Gibbs Rifle Company to see if they would rebarrel a SMLE for you (Mausers get tricky with rimmed cases unless you find a Siamese mauser you can rebarrel) or give you some insight/information as to how to rework the magazine for proper feeding.  Or, you can contact the Montana Rifleman to see if they have any suggestions about rebarrelling SMLEs (last I spoke with them they would just rebarrel to the original caliber but if your new caliber is within original pressure limits you might be able to get one done).  HTH and good luck.

Best place to sell it would be the "Free Classifieds" section of www.rugerforum.com   Somebody over there may well be wanting to change his .45-70 #3 barrel for a caliber that kills stuff without killing his shoulder.  Good ctg.  Good luck!

With cowboy loads the No3 is a great rifle.
The 300 Grain JHP are stout  but not unmanagable.

I am looking for a Ruger #3 barrel.  I fired corrosive ammo in my 223 and it rusted.  I will buy a barrel if price is resonable.  I am new to this forum and do not know how to contact individuals.  If you have a barrel, let me know.  Open to any cal.

The barrle is in 375 Winchester.
Basically a 30-30 that has strait walls and shoots a 235 grain bullet.
Great brush caliber for Deer, black bear, moose, .....
Recoil is not terrible, but also not a 223.

The Ruger #1 and #3 barrels will fit Ruger 77 actions after the barrel face is turned down a bit. When the extractor relief just does clean away it is close or at proper shank length for a Ruger 77. I purchased a #3 take off in .45/70 and fit it to my short action 77 Mark II. The shortened shank also allowed a .458 American reamer to 'clean up' the chamber for a perfect fit/headspaced barrel for my 77MII.
Your barrel might make a good .375/350 Rem Mag, As I think about it, you have a good barrel to make a .375-.308 round for someone's short action [or long] Ruger 77! I liked having the open sights on my .458 American even though I shot it with a scope. It's creation was for the idea of building a 'carry rifle' in Montana. Hot .458x2 loads in a light short Ruger are recoilers but good for something that can get close to you fast and wanting to eat you.
We had fun with the gun before I sold it. Shoulda kept it. Today it would make more sense to use the .450 Marlin reamer and dies.
You have the part needed for a fun barreling project! Rugers are easy, too.
