Once upon a time, I had a sage launch 4 weight 4 piece. I recieved it as a graduation present for getting my BSBA from my wife. I left my company truck door unlocked, you know the rest. An enterprising person found it nessecary to relieve me of it.
I was crushed. Anyway, I bought a new sage vantage 4 weight 4 piece from kirks in estes park. It is clearly a better rod. A bit faster action and more responsive. I have landed a few fish with it, but more than landing the fish, the big difference is in casting. So, for around 250 you get an American made fly rod that really cant be beat. I am fishing an orvis battenkill on it.
