Yup, I know... insurance, lawsuits, trash, shooting cows and all that crap. Some of us know better. As far as trash... I've picked up more than enough trash off of hunting areas. A good portion is feed sacks, baling wire, baling twine, rolls of old barbed wire, old tools, scrap tin sheets, etc. More trash from most of the farmers/ranchers than anything else. I can almost guarantee that if I wanted to I could fill a pickup bed with trash off of almost any quarter section. I don't litter, my kids had BETTER not. I carry my own insurance. I close gates and I will let you know if I see anything wrong with any of your livestock, crops, fences or equipment. Spent more than enough time in SW OK, N TX ranch land to know better. Pigs and deer look NOTHING like any cow I've ever seen. If you can't see it, you shouldn't shoot it. The only problem with that I can ever see is a ricochet. You can mitigate the risk but you can't eliminate the possibility. I have some ideas that might help with this problem for some people. I'll have to flesh them out and do some more thinking on this.
