I am interested in buying a Glock 23 and have seen aftermarket .357 Sig barrels for sale. Is this an easy swap configuration or is there more to this than meets the eye. I like the idea of changing out barrels to get a new caliber but I also want it to be an easy swap.

I am not sure if they make .357 SIG barrels for the smaller Glocks, but there are no issues. The .357 SIG is a .40 S&W case necked down to a 9 mm bullet, meaning that you can still use the same magazines, all you have to do is drop in a barrel. I have one for my model 22, and it works like a charm. It is a very good round.

Yep, go to Lone Wolf Distributors web site for barrels. The barrel you want is available there. Takes about 20 seconds to change one out.

Just so you know, the recoil of the .357 round in the smaller framed 23 or 32 is rather sharp. I carry one every day, qualify perfectly with it every time, but rapid fire can be kinda difficult........

Just killed 2 nutrias with mine yesterday........the performance of these 125 gr Speer Gold Dot HPs is :eek:

As an option, consider the Glock 20-10mm. Takes .40 and 357SIG barrels as well. Recoil with .40 in a Glock 20 is VERY soft, so soft it's almost funny feeling. I owned a G-35 and was planning on getting a 357SIG barrel, but the 20 with standard 10mm ammo recoils LESS than the G-35-.40. Then I read on the glock board that .40 ammo can be fired in the 10mm barrel(on a limited basis), I tried it- it worked beautifully, recoil is softer than a G-17-9mm, no joke! Got myself a KKM .40 barrel and it's great! Next I'm ordering a 357SIG barrel. Remember the G-22/G-31 are just beefed up 9mm frames. The G-20 is great, even with full power CORBON 10mm loads it's very pleasant to shoot, And I am recoil sensitive to a degree- I don't like shooting alot of .357 or .44 mag's or light 12 gages but the G-20 is no problem. It is also more accurate than my G-35 was.
