New from coastal NC
« on: December 22, 2010, 04:44:37 PM »
I just found this forum and it is awesome.  I live in Eastern NC on the Pungo River just off the Pamlico Sound.  I've been a hunter and fisherman my whole life.  I'm a retired police officer and I continue to work as a deputy sheriff.  I own a number of handguns, my most recent purchase is a Uberti replica Remington New Army Model 1858.  I also enjoy my two BP rifles and a whole pile of modern rifles and shotguns.  Other interests are black and white photography and sailing.  I've got two forges and have made a few knives with very limited success.  I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and learning from you.

Welcome! I remember back in my high school days the metal shop teacher would help you make a knife out of an old file. You think that happens anymore?
